Obey God and leave all the consequences to Him.
― Charles Stanley

You’re a preacher of the Word of God; you don’t flinch in the face of adversity; you suit up and head out even when you’re shaking with fear because you know Yahweh is looking out for you.

But how can you reach more people with the powerful message of salvation only available through our Lord Jesus Christ?

Are you missing out on members?

Are you an ardent social media user, always posting and checking what’s being posted to Facebook?

Perhaps you share Scripture updates to your personal Facebook page or to your church’s Facebook page.

And your members love it. They like and share and comment often.

And it feels good.

And maybe you even have a little website that sits in a corner somewhere, not really being used. It’s like a disgraced evangelist. Everyone knows about him, but no one really wants to have anything to do with him; his powerful sermons have been relegated to a position of secondary memeism [sic].

Have you ever considered getting a website you can use as a platform for reaching more people with the gospel of Jesus Christ?

What can you do with a website?

The obvious information like your church building’s location must be visible.

And you might want to add contact details too.

On our church website, we don’t have too much information. If you want the leadership’s contact info, come visit us for a service or send a message through the form on the contact page.

But you might want your contact details readily available.

That’s just the tip of the iceberg, though.

You could add your church’s statement of faith to your website. You might even want to share background details of the leadership on an about page.

You can also use your website to post articles to on contemporary issues, a la Tim Challies style.

Do you add your sermons to PodPoint? Then create posts on your website linking to those sermons. That way, you grant people easy access to your messages from multiple places.

Email marketing

It’s a great idea to offer people the opportunity to sign up for an email newsletter.

But you want to avoid creating email newsletters manually. You’ll soon get tired of it.

That’s why we create you an automatic email newsletter. All you do is keep adding articles and sermon links to your website.

They’re sent out in a beautiful newsletter with the main image of your post, as well as a link back to your article (or sermon link).

We add a signup box to your website where website visitors can add their names and email addresses. This automatically adds them to your newsletter.

Search engine marketing

Google is one of the best sources of traffic for your church.

Here’s what people search for in your niche:

  • church near me
  • baptist church near me
  • churches near me
  • evangelical church near me
  • jw church near me
  • roman catholic church near me
  • mormon church near me
  • mosque near me

I hear the fundamental evangelicals shouting (softly, with Spirit-empowered zeal), “the JWs, Roman Catholics and Mormons aren’t Christian, and Muslims won’t escape the wrath of God either, unless they repent.”

And I agree.

But don’t miss the opportunities to drive traffic to the true Gospel.

For instance, if you write a series of articles on why the JWs are missing the mark, or why the Roman Catholics’ doctrines are abominable, or why Islam is a false religion, you can draw people to the Lord Jesus Christ and His message of salvation.

In other words, you don’t have to agree with someone’s doctrine to speak about their doctrine.

Emails

A church with a Gmail or Yahoo account is probably not a train smash.

But if you like, you may set up as many email addresses with our hosting package, your hosting size being the only limit.

Analytics

Your church website comes with Google Analytics installed. This gives you great insights into who visits your site, which country and city they’re visiting from and which pages they visit.

You also receive a weekly automatic report that shares important metrics in an easy-to-understand format, and will help you get a good overview of your audience.

Mobile friendly

Your church’s website will look great on any size screen, not just desktop.

Here’s why it’s significant.

In our church, we have someone who sends out a WhatsApp message whenever a new sermon is added to the site.

Someone who clicks through from WhatsApp is most probably on a cellphone. So, this person wouldn’t want to squint or pinch and zoom to find the sermon download button or to read the headline of the sermon.

That’s why your church website needs to be mobile-friendly.

Cost

This marketing package is a Kenneth Copeland private plane. OK, OK, maybe not that.

But it’s not cheap because it comes with everything you need to make a mark online.

Conclusion

Some churches use social media exclusively to get their message to their members and the lost.

However, they’re missing out on other channels through which they can reach many more.

Book a consultation to see how we can help you reach people not only through social media, but through at least two other channels, and get more people accessing the Word of God.
